After Fredi has a run-in with her previous schoolmates, she is uprooted to Casper, Wyoming, where nothing is as it seems. The place is cleaner, the houses are elegant, and a peculiar person lives across the street. He seems to be too comfortable and familiar with her mother, assumed drug addict, and her father, a man she doesn’t even know, not even his name.
